Precise recording or a daily timeline?
Use a recording session when you want to capture a particular walk or journey. Timeline recording is intended for a longer-term picture of your days; it is not a guarantee of a continuous, second-by-second route. Choose the primary recording device in Settings → Devices.
Why can background recording have gaps?
iOS and Android can limit background work. Location permissions, approximate location, battery restrictions, poor satellite reception and force-quitting the app can affect sampling. Check the app’s recording state and the operating system’s location permissions before an important journey.
Can friends follow my live location?
The friends globe and selected city are not a live location tracker. Share memories and content intentionally, and review your sharing choices. You can stop recording or change location permissions at any time.
