Why we made Map of Days
We want to remember more than where we went.
The corner you wandered around. The view you found by chance. The feeling you wanted to keep. Map of Days lets those days slowly grow into your world.
A story that keeps growing
Start today. Bring yesterday with you.
Bring supported Google Timeline, Fog of World, or OysterX backups into your map. The next chapter can start where your last one left off.
You decide what to share.
Choose who can see your memories. Manage optional usage analytics and diagnostics in settings. Your account data syncs across devices; our privacy policy explains how it is handled.

A few things worth knowing.
What can I do with Map of Days?
Record your footsteps to reveal the fog on your personal map. Revisit your timeline, collect landmarks, leave memories in chests, and send postcards to friends.
Is it free? What does Explorer add?
Basic recording, standard imports, and on-site chest opening are free. Free accounts have monthly chest and postcard creation allowances. Explorer adds offline maps, route repair, eligible remote opening, and more creation capacity. Treasure maps are purchased separately; current prices and limits are shown in the app.
Do I need to be near a chest to open it?
On-site opening requires being within the chest's allowed range. Explorer can open eligible chests remotely when your own recorded footprints meet the requirements. It does not unlock every chest from anywhere.
Can I bring my past journeys?
Yes, supported Google Timeline, Fog of World, and OysterX backup formats can be imported. Prepare a supported file and follow the import flow. Processing time depends on its format and size.
Who can see my information?
Account data is separated by user. Memories and shared content follow their visibility and reading permissions. Data syncs after sign-in for use across devices; usage analytics and diagnostics are optional. See our privacy policy for the details.
Can I see my friends' live location?
Friends can choose a city, accept invitations, and share content. The friends globe and selected city do not provide live location tracking.
When should I use the app or the web?
Use the phone app to record and explore on-site, with the required permissions. Background recording depends on operating-system limits. Use the web to import and revisit maps, collections, and memories, or create a map poster. Purchases and subscriptions use the app's store flow.
Can I download the app now?
