On this page
Delete in the mobile app
- Open Map of Days and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Me → Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Review the data list, enter the displayed confirmation word, and confirm.
- If asked, sign in again. Keep the app open until it says the server accepted the request. You can then close the app; deletion continues in the background.
Delete on the web
- Open Map of Days on the web and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted, enter the confirmation text, and submit.
- Complete the Google or Apple sign-in popup if requested. Email-link accounts may need to sign out and sign back in before retrying.
What happens next
The server records a durable deletion request, prevents new account writes, removes account-owned cloud data and media, audits that deletion completed, and deletes the authentication account. The device/browser workspace is cleared after the request is accepted. Other signed-in devices stop receiving the account and cannot restore deleted data by syncing an old copy.
Deletion normally finishes in about 15–30 minutes after the server accepts it. Retry or provider failures can take longer. You do not need to keep Map of Days open after acceptance.
Deletion cannot be undone. Shared content may disappear for recipients; independent copies someone else already saved outside Map of Days are outside our control. Minimal non-reversible deletion, security, suppression, or legally required transaction records may remain, but cannot restore the account.
