Which files are supported?
Use Google Timeline (Timeline.json or a supported Takeout archive), an OXDB backup, or a Fog of World Sync folder or its ZIP archive. An export with no timestamps cannot create dated timeline entries. Not every file named JSON or ZIP is a supported location export.
How should I prepare?
Keep a separate copy of your original export. In Map of Days, open Settings → Data management → Import and choose the source that matches your files. Read the import preview before confirming. Large archives and older export formats may take longer or need a different source selection.
What should I check afterwards?
Revisit your map and the dates for which your source contains timestamps. Check the displayed import result rather than assuming every archive succeeded. Contact support with the source type and error message; do not email your full location history unless you deliberately choose to share it.
